Brow MicroBlading, also known as "brow embroidery" or "hair stroke brows", is the newest and hottest technique in permanent makeup. This tattoo technique and its results are not to be confused with the more traditional brow permanent makeup service referred to as "solid brow" tattooing.

MicroBlading is considered semi permanent. Contrary to traditional brow tattooing methods, the pigment is inserted into the more superficial layers of the epidermis causing it to fade over time, if never maintained with a touch up.  Some clients fade almost completely, while others hold onto some strokes for years. This unique manual tattoo technique allows for each stroke to stay crisp and detailed resulting in a natural, 3 dimensional look. Results and pigment retention vary from client to client and can be affected by procedure aftercare, skin type and the client's skin regimen. Color retention time may range anywhere from 6 months to 2 years, with most clients needing touch ups only once a year or so.

The "Combo Brow" is a combination of a manual the shading technique and the hair stroke microblading technique. This gives the eyebrow more fullness and definition with additional 3D dimension. This brow is lighter and more wispy in the front due to the hair strokes placed in the start of the brow.

The "Powder Brow"  technique can be used on it's own, without the need for the hair strokes. The powder brow technique is perfect for the clients who like the look of a soft penciled or powdered eyebrow or for clients wanting a more defined look throughout the entire brow. This brow can be soft and subtle or bold and defined.

What is Microblading?

Microblading is a manual method of cosmetic pigmentation that provides natural looking hair strokes in the skin. These strokes will blend perfectly with your existing brow hair or will create a 3 dimensional looking brow for those who have little to no existing brow hair.  Small amounts of pigments are deposited in the superficial layer of the skin using a manual pigmentation tool. It actually consists of several tiny micro needles in a row and is not a “blade”.

How much does it cost?

The average across the US ranges from $450-$850 with some areas reaching as high as $1,200.  Our Microblading service is $495 (May Special $395)

*6-8 week perfection touchup ($60)

 *up to 6 months ($150)

*up to 12 months ($250)

*up to 18 months ($350)

*full price after 18 months

if you cancel your discounted touch up with less than 24 hours notice, you will forfeit your “discounted” touch up rate and will be subject to the touchup rates above.

How long does it last?

Every client has different skin and daily regimens so results can vary. On average a touch up is only needed about once a year.

How often do I need a touch up?

Touch ups are recommended once a year, to keep the color fresh and the strokes crisp. Some clients like to keep them fresh looking and come in before their 12 month mark while others wait 12-18 months in between.

Does it hurt?

There is minimal discomfort associated with the procedure. A topical anesthetic is used during the service. Most clients rate the pain a 3 on a scale from 1-10. After the numbing is applied the pain should be 0-1.

We do not “pre numb” as this can affect color retention.

What should I do to prepare for my procedure?

There’s not much preparation required. Leaving your eyebrows alone for a week (no tweezing, waxing or otherwise removing the hair) is preferred so that we can utilize as much of your natural brow hair as possible. Please refrain from injectibles in the brow or forehead area (such as fillers and Botox) 2 weeks prior to the procedure and for 2 weeks after. Also, refrain from blood thinners and alcohol 48 hours prior to service

What should I do after the procedure?

Make sure your brows stay clean and dry for 7-10 days and apply your ointment as directed by your brow artist (1-3 times a day) depending on your skin type. You will want to try to keep your brow area as dry as possible when washing you hair and face. No steam, saunas or complete water submersion for 7 days. A complete aftercare sheet will be given to you at the end of your service and your brow artist will answer any question you may have.

How long does it take?

The procedure takes about two hours. The first hour consisting of a thorough consultation and brow shaping. The second hour is devoted to the art and service itself. Please allow a solid two hour window for your appointment. We encourage clients to not have a strict time constraint as this is not a service that we can stop short.

Do I need to take a day off work?

No. There’s no downtime associated with the treatment. Redness and swelling will dissipate within an hour after. Your brows will appear darker initially, but not so dark that you will be prevented from your activities of daily living.

How long does it take to heal?

Healing time varies from individual to individual. Usually, it takes about a week to ten days for the epithelial crust to form and slough off. Your brows will be dark for the first few days and then will lighten dramatically after the initial healed skin comes off. Your skin will be considered healed after that happens. Then, the pigment takes some time to settle in. A good month after your 6 week touch up should pass before we consider the process complete.

What’s the process like?

Microblading is a two step treatment, consisting of an initial consult and service and then a touch up six weeks after. After your consult we take your before photo, we shape your eyebrows and decide on the color. once we have your approval we begin the pigmentation part of the service. We lightly etch the pigment, one hair stroke at a time,  into the superficial layers of the skin.

During healing, it's normal to experience some pigment loss; this is why we have the touch up in place. Some clients have 40-50% retention after the first service while others have 80-90% retention. If you are one that does not have great retention, DO NOT WORRY! That is what the touch up is for. From time to time, there may be an individual that may have skin that requires even a third touch up to get the pigment to take evenly on each stroke. In these rare cases, after the free touch up, if a third touch up is required, there will be a touch up fee of $150.

What can’t I do after the procedure?

You are advised to keep the skin clean and dry - that means no swimming, sweating or otherwise getting the area wet; no tanning or prolonged sun exposure; no picking or peeling of the treatment area. You can still wash your hair and face and once they’re healed up, you treat them as your own.

Can you guarantee your work?

A guarantee should never be promised in this industry due to many contributing factors outside of our control. One’s skin type, skin undertones, skin texture, skin regimen and medications are just a few. Your face is important to us and we are extremely experienced and qualified in the art of cosmetic pigmentation. We can guarantee that we will make every effort to reach your desired cosmetic goals but again, there are no guarantees in this industry.
